Halloween (and the season surrounding it) is my favorite time of the year and good books only make it better! I have put together a little sampling of some, spine-tingling stories. Boo! Read these adorable books with your children to get the whole family in the Halloween spirit. Happy Halloween Reading!
September Means Back To School Time
As a teacher and mother I’ve been a part of lots of first days of school! The day is generally filled with excitement and a good dose of anxiousness on student, parent and educator ends. As with any new experience, reading books for kids on the topic can help ease the transition into a new situation.
Whether your child is starting preschool or kindergarten for the first time or just heading back to school, these books will help get ready for the big day!
Teaching Thankfulness Through Stories
Before the hustle and bustle of the back to school, take some time to share these wonderful books with your children celebrating gratitude and thankfulness. Take a moment to be thankful for all you already have and use some of these books to teach your children to do the same.
Call ahead to your independent book shop and they can tell you if they have these titles and if not, they can order it for you. You can also just reserve these titles at the library. Most libraries allow you to do that online and then they will let you know when to come pick it up. How easy it that?!
